LETITIA, painter George Morland's popular series of paintings engraved by J. R. Smith in 1789. The six plates were re-issued in 1811 at seven-and-sixpence each. Morland's long-suffering wife Anne (Ward) Morland, sister of William Ward the engraver, is believed to have been the model for Letitia.
