Frank Wing (1873-1956)

Frank Wing's crude, powerful and offtime cruel slice-o'-life comic Yesterdays originated in the Minneapolis Journal about 1910. The following selections are from the Saskatoon Star-Phoenix 1929-1930. Charles 'Sparky Schulz' studied cartooning with Wing. Blog Flume has a post with illustrations from a Yesterday's book collection HERE.

  1. Not a correction, but I am curious. I just purchased a copy of "The Fotygraft Album: Shown to the New Neighbors by Rebecca Sparks Peters..." that states a first edition date of May 7, 1915, and second edition Aug. 23 of the same year.
The publisher is shown as the Reilly & Britton Company, Chicago, IL.

  3. I have come across an original signed drawing of "Bart" circa 1942 by cartoonist Frank Wing.

Please let me know if you or anyone you can recommend would be interested in acquiring this document.
