A Word with Punch (to be continued if necessary). As mentioned in my previous post "Literature of the Lower Orders" HERE. Alfred Bunn, tired of being the butt of Punch's columns, put together a Punch facsimile designed by George Augustus Sala (not well-known as a caricaturist but he did have quite a talent for it) which pushed Punch into an uneasy silence. Just about everyone connected with Punch at the time is depicted in the cover illustration. This image is from The History of "Punch" by M. H. Spielmann, 1895.
