  1. Kin (with an "n") Platt would be the writer. He wrote a ton of comic books, novels, radio comedy, and movies. There's a fascinating rundown of his career in Wikipedia...including a suggestion by David Gantz that Platt created the Pepsi-Cola cop. The link is:
